OKLAHOMA

Steve and i enjoy a night out at the Theatre. We love to watch all the wonderful musicals that come on tour to Blackpool. This year Oklahoma is on at the beautiful Grand Theatre and as it is our Wedding Anniversary we are treating ourselves.
Mark Evans takes the lead playing Curly he is a good singer and dancer, we saw him last year in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.Marti Webb we have seen many times is Aunt Eller and Gemma Sutton is Laurey, she has a lovely voice. The whole cast was brilliant and we really enjoyed the show and they all got a standing ovation.

Blackpool Air Show

The Air Show was held on Sunday the 8th August, between South and Central Piers. We did not have as clear a sky as last year but we had a perfect view from St Chads Headland.
We watched the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Spitfire the Lancaster and the Hurricane as they flew past followed by the Hawk Hunter and the Jet Provost.
Gerald Cooper and his stunning Aerobatics and the Brietling Wing Walkers were awesome. Our favourites were the Red Arrows, they stole the show with their brilliant routines and they turned our Blackpool sky red white and blue.
